CSV export (Catena-X)

The CSV export provides the Product Carbon Footprint in the machine-readable Catena-X PCF exchange format with all relevant data fields. The format is also suitable for SupplyOn upload and enables standardized, automated exchange of PCF data along the supply chain.

What does the CSV export contain?

The file follows the Catena-X PCF exchange format and contains all fields required for the exchange. At a glance, these include:

  • Business partners: sending and receiving company, including identifiers.
  • Product identification: product or trade name and part number.
  • Report metadata: PCF report type, reference period, reference unit, net weight per declared unit, and cut-off rule.
  • PCF results: total values as well as the GWP breakdown into fossil and biogenic emissions.
  • Allocation: the allocation methods used.
  • Data quality and verification: primary data share (PDS) and data quality rating (DQR).

The values are generated automatically from your entries in the Company, Product List, Base Data, Data, and Allocation tabs.

The field-level mapping of each individual column (format, mandatory or optional) is suitable for upload to the SupplyOn platform. Due to the length of the file, this article does not list the complete column list.

Availability

The CSV export is only available if Catena-X is activated for the report. If only ISO 14067 is active, only the PDF report can be downloaded. Since the standard selection is set when the report is created and cannot be changed afterward, Catena-X must already be selected at the time the report is created. Instructions on how to activate Catena-X can be found in the article Report Overview and Creating of a new report

Creating the export

The CSV export is created in the Options tab, under the CSV (Catena-X) sub-tab. Then select the structural element for which you want to create the export. Click Create CSV Export.

Note: A separate CSV export must be created for each structural element.
