      Which emission factors do we use?

      The Climate Hub offers emission factors from the following databases, which are updated regularly:
      • Umweltbundesamt (UBA)
      • Federal Office for  Economic Affairs and Export Control (BAFA)
      • Ecoinvent (factors only visible if a license is purchased)
      • Institute for Energy and Environmental Research (IFEU)
      • Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA)
      • Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)
      • Oeko-Institut
      The Climate Hub also allows you to search Climatiq's external database, giving our customers access to almost 49,000 emission factors from over 45 databases. How you can integrate these emission factors into the Climate Hub, and which databases are accessed, is explained in the following two articles: activity-based and spend-based.
