PCF and CCF: More control over input units when updating emission factors
April 17, 2026
The handling of input units when editing emission factors has been simplified and made more transparent.
Before:
- The input unit was automatically adjusted to the emission factor unit on save
- Example: An input of 200 g could become 200 kg when the emission factor was updated or its unit was changed
Now:
- The selected input unit remains unchanged when only the emission factor or a compatible unit is updated
- Example: 200 g remains 200 g after saving when the emission factor is changed or its unit is adjusted from g to kg
- Only if units are not compatible (e.g. liters and kWh), the input unit is adjusted automatically
- Example: Input is 100 liters, and the emission factor is changed from 2.8 kg CO2e/liter to 1.2 kg CO2e/kWh
- In this case, a notice is shown so the input can be reviewed
Detailed information on the behavior of input units when editing emission factors can be found in the Helpdesk article.
