PCF: Update of emission factors and the display in the PDF report
November 17th, 2025
When creating a new report, the following updates have been implemented:
-
DEFRA emission factors: Updated to 2025
-
Transporter / Van (< 3.5 t): Adjustment of the emission factor from a pure diesel vehicle to a mixed vehicle, covering both diesel and petrol
-
Heating oil: Updated from fuel oil to gas oil, better reflecting its common use in diesel engines and heating systems
-
Heating oil and natural gas: Conversion basis changed from gross calorific value (GCV) to net calorific value (NCV), ensuring that only the effectively usable energy, excluding the energy bound in water vapor, is considered
-
PDF transparency: The exported PDF report now includes not only the data source but also the corresponding reference year of the emission factor
Note that the changes made to heating oil and natural gas are also updated in your current emission factor version if you trigger the calculation again.
