PPWR: Evidence Documentation

The packaging compliance workflow now includes a dedicated evidence documentation system for Manufacturer-role packaging units. Once all components have been assessed and marked as Complete — and all sustainability requirements are met — you can issue a Declaration of Conformity (DoC) and Technical Documentation (TechDoc) directly from the packaging unit's new Evidence tab.

The three-step creation flow lets you select the signing facility, designate a signatory, and preview both documents before they are generated. Four PDFs are produced automatically: the DoC in English and German, and the TechDoc in English and German. All four are available for download from the Evidence tab immediately after creation.

Each document receives a sequential identifier (DOC-1, DOC-2, and so on) that is unique to your company. When you issue a new document for the same packaging — for example after updating component data — the previous document is automatically archived, ensuring there is always at most one valid document per packaging at a time.

If component sustainability data changes after evidence has been issued, a renewal notice appears on the Evidence tab, prompting you to review and re-issue. The Packaging list now shows a Completeness status badge on every row (Incomplete, In Progress, Data Provided, or Evidence Issued) so you can track the compliance state of your entire packaging portfolio at a glance. A summary KPI card above the list breaks down counts by status.
