How do I answer a PPWR data request?

I. Overview

As a supplier, you have received a PPWR data request via the Supply Chain Hub. This means that one of your business partners needs to document the packaging or packaging components you supply in accordance with the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR, Reg. (EU) 2025/40), and relies on your input to do so. Specifically, you are being asked to provide certain data on your components – such as master data like material, size, and weight, evidence of compliance with substance limits, or existing conformity documents. This information enables your business partner to meet their own PPWR obligations.

II. Viewing your assigned components

A new Components section in the supplier navigation lists all packaging components that a customer has assigned to you, together with each component's current data completeness status.

To open the list go to PPWR Components (Supplier role).

III. Filling in sustainability data

For components with Requested status:

  1. Click on the component to open its detail page.
  2. Answer the question "In which role under PPWR do you supply this component". You can find more information about the PPWR rolls here.
  3. If you are in the role of a supplier, fill in the sustainability fields, such as material composition, recycled content, and compliance information.
  4. If you are in the role of a manufacturer or an importer, at least upload your declaration of conformity for the component. Additional you can upload the Technical documentation or any other general proof document. 
  5. Once all required fields are complete, click Save Changes and Mark as completed to send the data back to your customer.

IV. Tracking open tasks

The Pending requests on your company profile page shows how many components are still awaiting your input, with a direct link to all open requests.

V. Email notifications

You receive an email notification whenever a customer assigns a packaging component to you and requests your input.

To manage your notification preferences:

  1. Go to Account Settings → Email Notifications.
  2. Find the PPWR component requests toggle.
  3. Enable or disable notifications as preferred.
