How do I upload my packaging units?

To upload your PPWR-relevant packaging units, click on PPWR > Packaging units.

1. Adding individual packaging units

1. Click on "Add packaging unit".
2. Fill in the form:

In the Master data tab: Enter the name of the packaging unit (1), a packaging unit ID (2). Optionally, you can add a description and an explanation of the functionality of the packaging unit. You can also add the weight and dimensions of the packaging unit.

In the Classification tab: Specify which packaging type it is and indicate which role you hold for this packaging unit under the PPWR (More information: PPWR: Packaging types and roles). You can additionally provide the following details: Producer, Reusable, Food contact, Medicinal product, Recyclability grade.

3. Click on "Save".

2. Bulk upload via Excel

1. Click on "Upload packaging units".
2. Click on "Download the template" (1) to download the Excel template.
3. Fill in the Excel template. In the Read-Me tab, you will find detailed instructions on the columns to be completed.
4. Then upload the completed template (2) and click on "Upload packaging units" (3).
