ESRS E1-6: Greenhouse gas emissions

The Climate Hub calculates reportable data points for E1-6 and displays them in the Standards tab.

To display the data points for E1-6: Greenhouse gas emissions, reports must have been created for two consecutive years in the Accounting tab. If this requirement is met, the system calculates the data points using the values from the Accounting and Targets tabs. N stands for the current year, Comparison for the previous year and Base year corresponds to the base year selected in the Company tab.

In the Methods & Factors tab, the emission factors and their respective sources are published, with the exception of the Ecoinvent factors, as these are only accessible via a paid Ecoinvent account. If you have such an account, you can look up the corresponding factor under the name given in the Source column.

The company's net sales and the GHG intensity per net sales are calculated and displayed in the Intensities tab.

Among other things, the primary data share for Scope 3 is displayed in the Additional tab. This share is determined by setting the share of CO2e emissions with the accuracy level Document / measurement in Scope 3 in relation to the total sum of CO2e emissions in Scope 3. In order to be able to output this value, the company must therefore fill in the Precision column when entering the consumption data.

Starting with version 1.51.0, it is also possible to display information on contractual instruments in Scope 2 under the Additional tab. The contractual instruments are shown as percentages – in total, bundled with attributes about energy generation, and unbundled – including the respective names. Please note that this information can only be considered in connection with the input values from the new electricity module. Previous entries made via predefined or custom-created activities cannot be included due to missing details. To ensure these values are still taken into account, the company must transfer the electricity consumption data to the new electricity module and provide information on the origin of the certificates. A step-by-step guide can be found in the FAQs or via the helpdesk.
