Consumption data can be uploaded via a CSV template.
In Scope 3, the data can not only be entered manually, but also uploaded as a CSV file and automatically integrated into the system. To do this, the CSV template must first be downloaded using the download button in the bottom left-hand corner.
The input values are then entered line by line in the corresponding fields. The predefined selection options from the Climate Hub must be used for the “Unit”, “Precision” and “Status” fields, otherwise an error message will appear when uploading:
Input field | Unit | Precision | Status |
Possible answers | kWh, MWh, GWh MJ, GJ, TJ Anzahl g, kg, t short-ton, shot-ton-mi lb m, km, ft mi, nmi, pmi, tmi ml, Liter m2, km2, ft2, m3 ha pkm, tkm scf gal bbl Nächte €, $ |

An example of a completed CSV file is shown below:

Ink cartridges | 50 | kg | 0.04 | kg | Estimate | Relevant
Wood-free paper | 20 | kg | 0.02 | kg | Document / Measurement | Relevant

Printer paper | 5 | kg | 0.08 | kg | Extrapolation | Relevant |
After entering the data, the file can be uploaded again using the upload button. Excel users should ensure that the file is saved in UTF-8 character format. To do this, click on Save file as and then select the appropriate file format. The data is then automatically transferred to the Climate Hub.
