Below are some examples of how you can transfer your previous entries to the new electricity module. Detailed information about the electricity module from version 1.51.0 can be found here in the Helpdesk.
1. Electricity mix Germany

Give your activity a meaningful name ("Kind"). Make sure the correct year is entered. Select "Germany" as the country/region. Select "Building" and transfer your consumption into the field "Input (electricity consumption)" with the corresponding unit. You don’t need to edit any other fields, meaning answer the question "Is the energy self-generated?" with "No" and the question "Do you have an individual CO2e factor from an invoice or contract?" also with "No." Leave the shares of renewable and nuclear energy blank. You can then save the entry directly by clicking the checkmark.
2. German green electricity

Give your activity a meaningful name ("Kind"). Make sure the correct year is entered. Select "Germany" as the country/region. Select "Building" and transfer your consumption into the field "Input (electricity consumption)" with the corresponding unit. Answer the question "Is the energy self-generated?" with "No" and the question "Do you have an individual CO2e factor from an invoice or contract?" also with "No." Enter "100" in the renewable energy percentage field. The share of nuclear energy will automatically be filled with 0%. You can then save the entry directly by clicking the checkmark.
3. Self-generated electricity (photovoltaics)

Give your activity a meaningful name ("Kind"). Make sure the correct year is entered. Select "Germany" as the country/region. Select "Building" and transfer your consumption into the field "Input (electricity consumption)" with the corresponding unit. Answer the question "Is the energy self-generated?" with "Yes" and save the entry directly by clicking the checkmark.
4. Electric Car & Plugin Hybrid (Electricity mix, green electricity)

Proceed as with points 1) Electricity mix and 2) Green electricity, but select "Car (electric/plugin)" instead of "Building." Enter your consumption either in the “Input (electricity consumption)” field in kWh or in the “Input (kilometers)” field in km.
5. Own factor
Transfer the meaningful name ("Kind") of your activity (1) and ensure the correct year is selected. Choose your desired country/region. Select "Building" and transfer your consumption into the "Input (electricity consumption)" field with the corresponding unit (2). Answer the question "Is the energy self-generated?" with "No," and "Do you have an individual CO2e factor from an invoice or contract?" with "Yes." Enter the market-based factor along with the corresponding unit into the "Factor (direct)" field (3), including the source if available (4). The remaining three factors will be filled in automatically based on your selected year and region. Finally, transfer your values for "Share of renewable energy" and "Share of nuclear energy" in the corresponding fields. You can then save the activity using the checkmark.
