Selecting standards and automatic report adaptation
Product Carbon Footprints are only as robust as the framework they're built on — and that framework differs in the details from one standard to the next. With the new standard-specific modes, our platform now translates those differences into your data entry automatically.
You choose between ISO 14067, PACT v3.0, and the Catena-X PCF Rulebook v4 directly when creating a report. The report's input form then adapts automatically to the selected standards: required fields appear, non-permitted ones are hidden. No looking things up in normative texts, no room for interpretation, no compliance gaps. You calculate to the rulebook from the very start.
New emission factors for direct land use change and biogenic CO2 uptake
The global warming potential from direct land use change is explicitly required to be reported separately by ISO 14067 and PACT. That's why we're now adding the emission factor (direct land use change) (dLUC) to the additional emission factor section. In the balance, the result appears transparently as its own position 'GWP (direct land use change)'. Indirect land use change (iLUC) remains excluded.
Alongside it, we're adding the emission factor for biogenic CO₂ uptake to the additional emission factor section, which captures the CO₂ removed from the atmosphere by biomass as a negative removal. It appears in the balance as its own position 'GWP biogenic CO₂ uptake'.
Biogenic emissions: now fully standard-compliant
The biogenic emission factor now specifically captures biogenic non-CO₂ emissions — as a standalone value, GWP biogenic (excl. CO₂), in the balance. This meets the separate reporting of biogenic non-CO₂ emissions required by PACT v3.0 and Catena-X v4.
Mandatory or optional? At a glance.
No more flipping through three sets of standards: every emission factor now shows directly which standard requires it and for which it's optional. You see the level of obligation right where you need it — at the point of entry. That saves time, reduces errors, and makes every result traceable.
Carbon content, down to the activity level
Also new: biogenic and fossil carbon content as a manual input field per activity. The values are automatically summed across all activities and reported at product level in the balance — granular capture, aggregated result, full transparency across the entire value chain.
The result: a PCF that doesn't just resemble your standard but matches it exactly — traceable, audit-ready, and ready to exchange along your supply chain.
