Guide: Connecting TRACES via Multi-Operator

Connect your TRACES account to VERSO in three steps. After that, we create your due diligence statements (DDS) directly for your company. The DDS appear in your own TRACES account under your company as the operator.

You will need:

  • a personal EU Login account,

  • a registered company (operator) in TRACES with the status "Valid",

  • ADMIN rights for this company in TRACES (for step B),

  • access to your EUDR profile in the VERSO Supply Chain Hub.

Step Who Where
A. Check the Web Access Identifier You TRACES
B. Accept the VERSO authorisation request You (ADMIN) TRACES
C. Enter the Web Access Identifier You VERSO Supply Chain Hub

Your role stays the same: Responsibility for due diligence under the EUDR remains with your company. VERSO handles the technical submission.

A. Check whether your company has a Web Access Identifier

The connection requires a fully registered and validated company in TRACES. So first check your registration:

1. Log in to the EUDR Information System (TRACES) with your EU Login: https://eudr.webcloud.ec.europa.eu/tracesnt/

2. Click your email address in the top right corner and select "Edit Your Profile".

3. Check that your company is listed with an operator role and has the status "Valid".

4. Check that you have ADMIN rights for this company. Without ADMIN rights you cannot carry out step B.

5. Navigate to "Directory" → "Operators" → [your company].

6. In the "Operator Identifiers" section, find the entry of type "Web Service Access Identifier". Note down this value. You will need it in step C.

Not registered yet? First register your company in TRACES (EUDR User Guide, section 1.4 a). Companies based in an EU member state are validated automatically. For import and export, the EORI number must be stored as an operator identifier.

No ADMIN rights? Ask a colleague with ADMIN rights to carry out step B or to grant you the rights (EUDR User Guide, section 1.8).

Important: Never share your personal "Authentication Key" from the "Web Services Access" section with VERSO. It is not needed for this connection.

B. Accept the VERSO authorisation request in TRACES

As soon as we have sent the request, we will notify you by email. Only a user with ADMIN rights for your company can accept the request.

1. Log in to TRACES with your EU Login: https://eudr.webcloud.ec.europa.eu/tracesnt/

2. In the menu, click "Actors" and then "Users".

3. Click "Search pending request". All open requests for your company are displayed.

4. Click the sender's name to open the details.

5. Click the green tick next to the role request.

6. Click "Save changes". The status of the request changes to "Valid".

Request not visible? Check whether your company itself has the status "Valid". TRACES recommends confirming user requests only after that. If you still cannot find the request, please contact us.

Only confirm VERSO: Only confirm the request from VERSO. Please do not confirm unknown requests — check with us first.

No ADMIN rights for VERSO: Do not grant VERSO ADMIN rights for your company in TRACES. The requested role is sufficient for submitting DDS. ADMIN rights should remain exclusively with employees of your own company.

C. Enter the Web Access Identifier in the Supply Chain Hub

This final step lets us assign your DDS unambiguously to your TRACES account. Only then can we submit DDS on your behalf.

1. Log in to the VERSO Supply Chain Hub.

2. Under "My Company", click the "EUDR Profile" button.

3. Enter the value from step A in the "Web Access Identifier" field. Make sure it is spelled exactly, without spaces.

4. Click "Save".
