I. What is an Outbound DDS?

An Outbound DDS is a Due Diligence Statement (DDS) that you pass on to your customers. It serves as proof that the products you sell also comply with the EUDR requirements.
The type of Outbound DDS you need to create depends on your EUDR role:

  • SME Traders:
You can directly forward your Inbound DDS (i.e., the DDS from your suppliers or your own import DDS) to your customers. There is no legal obligation to create a separate Outbound DDS.
  • Non-SME Traders:
When selling products, you must create a new Outbound DDS. This new DDS must reference the Inbound DDS (the DDS from your suppliers or your own import DDS).
  • Producers (regardless of SME status):
If you process purchased products and the HS code changes as a result, you must create a new Outbound DDS for resale. This Outbound DDS must reference the corresponding Inbound DDS (supplier DDS or your own import DDS).

II. DDS Referencing

Here you will find the available process options for DDS referencing.

III. Creating a DDS

If you have not defined any automation rules, you can create your Outbound DDS manually. Follow these steps:

  1. Go to EUDR > Transactions > Outbound Transactions.

  2. In the DDS Status column, click Create DDS for the corresponding outbound transaction.

  3. In the form, you can see which raw materials the DDS is being created for and which Inbound DDS are being referenced.

  4. Click Create DDS in the bottom right corner to complete the process.

Attention: An Outbound DDS can only be created if all outbound batches assigned to this delivery are linked to corresponding inbound batches. (More information can be found here.)

IV. Export

  1. Go to EUDR > Own DDS.
  2. In the Outbound DDS tab, you will find your Due Diligence Statements (DDS) for sharing with your customers.
  3. To export the DDS, click “Export to Excel” in the top right corner (coming soon).
