The Climate Hub is certified in accordance with the GHG Protocol for the creation of a corporate carbon footprint. It enables companies and organizations to easily calculate their corporate carbon footprint. The corporate carbon footprint is used to identify the largest sources of emissions within the company and along the upstream and downstream value chains.
The aim of the Climate Hub is to measure the corporate footprint with and for companies and organizations and, based on this, to initiate climate targets, reduction measures and, if necessary, compensation measures. The tool has the functionality to measure several locations and report them together or separately.
This knowledge base explains the structure of the tool and its functionality. It also shows how the required data is obtained and linked to the tool. It should be clear to the reader why the calculation is necessary, how the individual components of the tool are calculated and which input data must be obtained in order to obtain a meaningful result about the current climate situation of their own company.
